In September 1960, when the doors first opened at TLHS, there were only two classes of students:

Sophomores, the Class of 1963, and Freshman, the Class of 1964.

1961 - 1962: There were three

classes of students:

Juniors, Class of 1963; Sophomores, Class of 1964:

and Freshman, Class of 1965

From the 1966 Oracle:

1962 - 1963:  "This was Terra Linda's first year as a four year high school, and also the last year that the whole student body could fit into the gym at the same time."

1963 - 1964:  "Our school banner, seal, and motto were chosen this year."

1964 - 1965:  "This was the first year that our student body officers served a one year term; the up staircase was established; and TL had the best football team ever."

"The Trojan mascot symbolizes not only the spirit of Terra Linda, but also the spirit of the athletic teams.  Whether at a rousing football game, a fatiguing cross country meet, a tense basketball game, a muscle-bound wrestling match, a fast-paced baseball game, a never-say-die track meet, a splashing swim meet, a smashing tennis match, or a driving golf game, the Trojan spirit is always there: in spectators, in the athletes, and in the school."
